Dooks Golf Club

This stunning links course is in Glenbeigh and golf has been played here since 1889 which makes the course one of the oldest Golf Links in Ireland. Although a links course, Dooks is not as exposed as some Irish courses, one of the many reasons it’s a popular choice. There is an amazing variety of gorse, heather and wildflowers throughout the course, adding to panoramic views of the Wild Atlantic. This excellently maintained course offers sandy fairways and well contoured greens throughout, an absolute gem.

Beaufort Golf Club

This superb 18-hole parkland championship golf course is set in spectacular surroundings and is an ideal choice for all standards of golfers. With a 15th Century Castle ruins and surrounded by the Macgillycuddy Reeks this golf course provides a dramatic setting for all to enjoy. Beaufort Golf Course has been significantly upgraded recent years with the addition of fairway bunkers, lakes and irrigation systems and with the expertise of leading golf architect Tom McKenzie. Beaufort is another fast favourite for Golfers staying at Carrig.

Killarney Golf & Fishing Club

Located in Killarney National Park, surrounded by the lakes of Lough Leane, Killarney Golf & Fishing Club has played host to the Irish Open four times. This is home to two 18-hole championship parkland courses, Killeen and Mahony’s Point, providing a great choice for golfers of all abilities or its 9-hole Academy Course, ideal for those seeking a practice course or a quick round of golf. This stunning golf club is not to be missed for golfers visiting Kerry.

Maine Valley Golf Club

Situated just outside Killorglin town in the heart of the Reeks District this parkland course is amongst the most scenic courses in Kerry. Overlooking the River Laune as it enters Dingle Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This Parkland course has tight tree lined fairways, many bunkers and water hazards, creating an exciting golfing challenge. If you are an experienced or newbie to the game this course is a great choice for you.

Waterville Golf Club

Rated amongst the top five courses in Ireland and in the top 20 links courses in the world, Waterville Golf Club is a stunning links course that has attracted many famous golfers over the years. Amongst them is Graeme McDowell, “I don’t want to spread the word too much but my favourite golf course in Ireland is Waterville (Co Kerry). I love it down there in that part of the world, it’s just a magical, magical part of Ireland and the hospitality I’ve received the few times I’ve been to Waterville has been second to none. I reckon it’s just a fantastic Golf Club”.

This course is on many golfer’s wish list and its easy to see why with the backdrop of Ballinskelligs Bay and the Wild Atlantic ocean nestling around the course. Playing golf on one of Irelands most southernly points is an incredible experience that visitors to Carrig will want to experience time and time again.
